CyberSecure Acceptable Use Policy

What the Customer may not do:

  1. The Customer may not use the Service to transmit or make available any material (by backing up or otherwise) or activity that, intentionally or unintentionally, violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law, or any rules or regulations established under such or gives the indication that such violation may be occurring.
  2. The Customer may not use the Service to access, or to attempt to access, the accounts of others, or to penetrate, or attempt to penetrate, security measures of CyberSecure's or another entity's computer software or hardware, electronic communications system, or telecommunications system, whether or not the intrusion results in the corruption or loss of data.
  3. The Customer may not use the Service to transmit any material (by backing up or otherwise) that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any third party, including, but not limited to, the unauthorised copying of copyrighted material, the digitisation and distribution of photographs from magazines, books, or other copyrighted sources, and the unauthorised transmittal of copyrighted software.
  4. The Customer may not re-sell the Service without CyberSecure's written authorisation.
  5. The Customer may not use the Service for any activity that adversely affects the ability of other people or systems to use CyberSecure's Service or the Internet. This includes "Denial of Service" (DoS) attacks against another network hosts or individual users. Interference with or disruption of other network users, network services, websites or network equipment is prohibited. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that its network is configured in a secure manner. A Customer may not, through action or inaction, allow others to use its network or access for illegal or inappropriate actions. A Customer may not permit its network, through action or inaction, to be configured in such a way that gives a third party the capability to use its network in an illegal or inappropriate manner.
  6. Customers who have a Data Storage Limit of less than 10 Gigabytes per month may not download more than 2 (two) times the Customer's Data Storage Limit per month. Customers who have a Data Storage Limit of more than 10 Gigabytes per month may not download more than 1 (one) time the Customer's Data Storage Limit per month.
  7. The Customer or anyone acting on the Customer's behalf will not transmit any unlawful, threatening, defamatory, offensive or pornographic material to CyberSecure or to anyone using CyberSecure.s systems.
  8. The Customer must not use the Service, attempt to use the Service or allow the Service to be used in any way which causes the Customer to breach any agreement with CyberSecure, or which could result in CyberSecure incurring a liability to any person.
  9. The Customer may not engage in conduct or activities that CyberSecure considers could adversely affect or prejudice the CyberSecure reputation or brand.
  10. The Customer may not attempt to manipulate or bypass any limitations on the Service by any means.
